This order was made for a young man who wanted to give his girlfriend a summary of their love story. Following his guidelines, they were made in the lilac range, with no more ornamentation than the titles of the two…
This order was about binding 5 copies of the history of his family written by the client. They were loose sheets (not booklets) so a case binding was made, as the pictures show, with the spine slightly rounded.
The past October 25th we did the workshop “Long stitch binding” at Naikare. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., we were able to finish a book with a stitch easy to make later at home, without large tools like presses…
This is a binding of poems that a person collected over 30 years. The binding was made with decorations in the corners on the front cover and a protective case to store it.
Taking advantage of a cover change to a quite damaged book of Umberto Eco, “El nombre de la Rosa”, the new covers were made of parchment, to match with topic of the story.
